This privacy policy applies solely to the online activities of this website and is valid for visitors / users of the site. It does not apply to data collected through channels other than the website. The purpose of the privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency regarding data collected by the site and how it is used.


Legal basis for data processing

This website processes data on the basis of consent. The provision of data and therefore Consent to its collection is optional; the user may refuse consent and withdraw consent given at any time. Nevertheless, refusal of consent may mean it is not possible to deliver certain services, and navigation of the website may be compromised. From 28 May 2018 (when the GDPR comes into force), this website will process some data on the basis of the legitimate interests of the data controller.


Data collected and purpose

This website makes use of log files, which store information collected automatically during users’ visits. The information collected may be the following:

- browser type and parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
- name of the Internet Service Provider (ISP);
- date and time of visit;
- web page of provenance (referral) and exit;
- number of clicks, if applicable.


The above-mentioned information is processed automatically and collected only in aggregate form for the purpose of monitoring the correct functioning of the website, and for reasons of security (from 25 May 2018, such information will be processed on the basis of the legitimate interests of the data controller).
For the purposes of security (anti-spam filters, firewalls, virus detection), automatically registered data may also include personal information such as IP address, which could be used, in accordance with the relevant laws, in order to block attempts to damage the site itself or to cause damage to other users or other harmful acts which may be considered criminal. Data received will be used exclusively for:

·         the provision of e-commerce services by Conte of Florence Distribution Spa Srl and its subsidiary firms and commercial partners, including shipping services provided by third parties;

·         when requested, for sending the Conte of Florence Distribution Spa newsletter.

Data collected by the website during its operation is used solely for the purposes indicated and stored for the time necessary to carry out the stated activities or until a request is made to delete accounts registered on the site. In all cases, data collected by the site is never supplied to third parties for any reason, except in the event of a legitimate request by the legal authorities and only in circumstances stipulated by law.   


Place of data processing

Data collected by the website is processed in the data centres of technical partners and service providers CNP Studio Srl, AUTEL Srl and Mailup Spa, who are responsible for data processing; these partners process the data on behalf of the data controller, are based within the European Economic Area and act in compliance with European regulations. 



Like all websites, this site also uses cookies, small text files which allow the storage of information about visitors’ preferences in order to improve the functioning of the site, simplify navigation by automating procedures (e.g. log in, language) and analyse use of the website.

Requests should be addressed to the data controller. 


In the case of data processed on the basis of legitimate interests, the rights of users affected are nevertheless guaranteed (except the right to portability, which is not covered by the regulations), in particular the right to oppose processing, which may be exercised by sending a request to the data controller.
